Looks like deer season in our neighborhood will be on hold. The neighbor to my west claims there is a mountain lion raising 3 young ones in his hay barn. I hope he is mistaken and they are just Bobcats. Either way, I have to keep an eye on my dogs, don't need them turning into a big cat's lunch.

lol I shared them with my co-workers. But ya, it was nice not to have to teach for 13 hours, but meeting with parents is another sort of stressful. Luckily all my conferences went really well. Thank goodness.

Cold weather is here. Was 34 when I went on my run this morning. Thank goodness my new Underarmour shirt came in. Kept me nice and warm.

yeah fall is really here now, the leaves are all over the streets and the temps dropped over 40° in 2 days, had the a/c on one morning, the heat on the next. (even though it was only in the low 70's the condo was into the 80's)
but cant really complain since its almost november and its been good and warm most of october.....hope we can keep the nice and warm trend for the winter (hint hint elves).

It was 77 yesterday morning. It was 30 when I left school at 8pm. Crazy drop due to a cold front. Just wow. But I'm glad it has cooled off.

one nice thing about living in a condo...I dont have to rake the leaves, however,....the grounds crew like to use the leaf blowers...and blow it all over my car

That is what happens when you give those jobs to illegal (probably) immigrants... Of course if actual legal American's weren't so stuck up and so thick headed as to think jobs are below them, then there wouldn't be many jobs for illegals.

no, there would still be---when I lived out west, the farmers would specifically hire illegals for pennies (less than $1/day) since they didnt have to pay them decent wages, insurance etc---these are the same farmers who cry when we tell them to hire americans --they say that they wouldnt be able to stay afloat if they had to pay real wages! boo hoo.
and yeah, we have a ton of illegals here and its getting so that spanish is becoming the new english official language (I dont know about you, but when I lived in a foreign country--or heck just visited--I didnt expect people to speak english to me! these &%*$ expect us to speak to them in THEIR language and change everything here to suit them

), I know of many 2nd and 3rd gen spanish people who find this disgusting as well.

some of it is getting solved...there are no jobs, and the prospect for employment is actually looking better in mexico than it is right now in the usa--lots of these illegals are going back home!
problem is, the stupid government is offering some illegals jobs (which they arent offering to those of us actually BORN here in the usa

)....not to mention other perks that native born arent getting....so why go anywhere else when you can have a job, a place to live, FREE medical care, etc?

friend said her job is moving to india! so tons of us companies are still outsourcing

and they wonder why our economy isnt coming back /facepalm /bang head on wall

but unless I want to get really mad I think we should turn this back to a more....soothing discussion...
monday is fish night (nothing more soothing than food

). so salmon and shrimp with rice for our fish night.

(and went and got the car washed yesterday since all the leaf parts were all over it...now the birds can find it much easier again

tuesday is trash day---the fishy parts go out in the trash and dont stink up my condo for the week (and I am not thatreligion either)

Makes sense that today would be fish day then. I'm not a big fish person so it is really good that I'm not "that religion" as cosy put it.

Hope RR is doing all right. He is on the east coast if I remember correctly.

Thanks for your thoughts. We were lucky and had just heavy wind and rain, but no real damage. I feel so sorry for those who lived on the coast from Maine on south as the tidal surge was huge and those people in the NY and NJ area really got it bad.

good to see ya rr, and glad you are ok. I know there are a few others who live in the area (both messy and darcy- my ventari mods are also east coasters--hope you both are ok and check in too!)

late hurricanes are ...a category all their own. I got caught in Wilma a few years ago while visiting my mom in florida, and while it moved pretty dang fast was still pretty messy (though was really nice to go to sanibel island right after -there was NO ONE there and shell collecting was the BEST ever!)
looks like some of this one is going to try to hit the midwest too, and pretty dang happy I dont live in west viriginia right now (2' of snow!)

no , never NEED snow!
and yeah wind and more wind....dont even live close to the east coast and still get it, though when hurricanes hit the gulf the middle of the country seems to get part of them as well....

another year without trick or treat-ers!

edit: how annoying....I stay up late, and FINALLY can sit down and watch ringu (have yet to see the beginning)...and yes....the cable goes out

...I have tried multiple times to see this movie, and this time is no different (maintenance my foot)...guess I just am not supposed to see it (was also watching tcm the mummys hand...guess I wont find out how that one goes either).../sigh
